Who are we?

Also available in: French, German, Spanish

We met during our respective EVS placements (European Voluntary Service) in Romania in 2010.

My name is Felix BURGOS TENA (in Spain we keep both our mother’s and father’s family names), I am 25 years old and I live near Madrid. After studying Education in Spain, I undertook volunteering with with EVS in Romania with ‘ACTOR’. My assignment was to accompany sick children in hospitals and social centres. Along with other volunteers, we provided theatrical entertainment ranging from shadow puppets, marionettes  to origami. Presently, the crisis in Spain has severely limited my work opportunities. I completed my training as a director/ coordinator for children’s programs. In my spare time, I love to go on hikes, cycling (of course!) and explore the mountains.

My name is Giom DANTEC (I spell it Giom because it’s quicker, otherwise it’s Guillaume), I’m 26 years old.

I am an industrial designer and I worked in 3 different companies over 4 years. After the bankruptcy of one of the firms, I seized the opportunity to do that which I have always dreamed of doing: to find myself helping elsewhere in the world. That is how I found myself in Bucharest (pronounced Boucourecht), Romania, for 7 months of EVS with ART Fusion. While there, we undertook several projects which included everything from Street performances to presentations, directing short films, and of course, working with children who,  among other challenges, had learning difficulties.

My current situation in France is great. I have a job, friends, and a certain level of comfort, but thats not what I’m looking for. This journey feels like a natural next step for me- all I can do is follow my feet.
